About Me – Emily Meadows
Content Designer • Information Architect • UX Writer
I help complex digital products communicate clearly through structured, user‑centered content systems.
I started my career in education and creative production — designing learning experiences, shaping instructional content, and working directly with subject matter experts to bring dense ideas to life. Along the way, I realized that the real challenge wasn’t just the content itself, but how it’s organized, labeled, and presented so that people can actually use it.
That realization led me to study Web Design & Content Planning at the graduate level, and since then I’ve focused on roles where I can:
- design information architecture that supports intuition and findability
- write and structure content that reduces friction and cognitive load
- build scalable content systems that work across platforms and teams
- partner closely with designers, developers, and product lead teams to turn ideas into usable digital experiences
Across projects, from adaptive e‑learning platforms to global content ecosystems, I keep the same core principles:
Human‑Centered Thinking First
People don’t come to digital products to read. They come to do something. My work starts with understanding how users think and make decisions, and then designing content that supports those decisions.
Clarity Through Structure
Good content isn’t just about great sentences — it’s about logical relationships, clear hierarchy, and meaningful labels that help users find what they need fast.
Systems That Scale
Whether it’s governing thousands of assets or creating reusable components for new modules, I design frameworks that help teams move faster and stay consistent.
How I Work
I thrive in environments that value:
- cross‑functional collaboration
- iterative design and real user feedback
- openness to research and data
- clarity in language and process
- thoughtful documentation
I’m at my best when I get to bridge ideas between creative, product, and technical teams.
Outside of Work
When I’m not designing content systems or structuring digital experiences, I run a YouTube channel documenting my travels and my time living in London. Through it, I’ve honed my storytelling skills, built an engaged audience, and learned how to create content that resonates visually and emotionally.
Now that I’m back in the U.S., I’m excited to continue creating content that connects with people: whether it’s short-form videos, educational storytelling, or user-focused digital experiences.
Let’s Connect
I’m actively exploring roles in senior content design, UX writing, information architecture, and content strategy — especially in product‑oriented teams. If that sounds like a fit, I’d love to talk.
